Nothing's Wrong with You

You threw your backpack aside,
been crying since then,
just can't get those images out of your head,
and you're wondering if I understand,
Yes, I know you feel pain and shame.

You're curled up inside,
can't take it anymore,
just want to escape and fly away.

And you cry out at night,
"What's wrong with me?
What's wrong with me?
What did I do to deserve this?"

I tell you,
there's nothing wrong with you,
it's them,
so twisted inside,
they're blind.

They'll grab you,
turn you,
they want change from you.

You cry out at night,
"What's wrong with me?"
yet the answer comes back...

Nothing's wrong with you.

so twisted inside,
broken and blind,
they want change from you,
don't yield to them.

Someday...the pain will fly away,
I promise you,
but until then,
know there's nothing wrong with you.

Hi there, I hope some people join this soon. I decided I should share my poetry with people, so I joined this community. Also, I have a new journal and no online friends whatsoever, so someone please be my friend! Sorry to sound so desperate.

Ahem. Anyway, here's my poem:

The air was thick with the silence
That engulfed the space between us
I shuddered to think you might speak
And break the almost tangible hatred
I desperately held on to
It was my lifesaver in this sea of betrayal
For one apology or kind gesture would be
Enough to break me.

This is a community for teens who write poetry and creative writing(mainly poetry, but all creative writing is welcomed as well) This community was made because I was searching for a writing community, but could find none for teens.

Respect each other
Critiques are helpful to writers but flames are not
Any pieces of writing with profanity, graphic images, etc. should be behind a LJ-Cut with a warning
If you want to show a piece of writing that would be rated R, DEFINETLY place behind a cut with a warning
Most of all..
